Life

Life is a theater,
With its energy thumping on the stage,
Like a heartbeat,
The feet pounding across the empty space,
The occasional skip or leap,
Leaves only a second of rest,
For life to come back again.

Best Invention Created

Imagining a dark night without the comforts of the light bulb, is impossible. Days and nights spent under candlelight was time consuming in the 1800s. Though many inventions are consequential to our lives, Thomas Edison's light bulb has always impacted our world significantly. Thomas Edison  aspired to be the inventor who would create an inexpensive electric light. In 1879, Thomas Edison's dream came true; he invented the light bulb. Because it is a spring board for other products and has contributed to jobs and entertainment, the light bulb is the most vital invention.

When the light bulb was first invented its function was to light houses at night so people could get their work done. Later as the years passed many other inventions were based on the light bulb. Many people rely on inventions such as the microwave to heat food, but few people realize that this invention was based on the light bulb. The television is another example; the light bulb was morphed into a pixel sized light. Heat lamps are also another invention based on the light bulb. The light bulb has impacted many creations as well as our own lives.

Light bulbs have also effected our daily lives. Without light bulbs, much of our entertainment would disappear. Broadway shows and movies would not have been as enhanced as it is now. Without this, there would be fewer jobs as well; there would not be any electricians, actors, or actresses unlike now. This creation has an affect on our lives- they create jobs and provide entertainment.

Many invention effect our lives, but the light bulb impacts us the most. It inspired those to create inventions based on the light bulb. It also contributed to entertainment as well as new jobs. Thomas Edison is currently a hero, who impacted our world just by one simple invention.

Is it always better to be original than to imitate or use the ideas of others?

Originality and individuality go hand in hand with each other when it comes to great ideas and success. I believe people who merely copy others' inventions and work do not produce anything consequential and novel enough for the world. Imitations not only lack in originality and authenticity, but are not salient enough in the sea of simulacrums. I believe that the few who are original are successful.

Steve Jobs was one of the few people with genuine ideas. Jobs proved the world that he was unique by creating the iPhone and iPad: unfortunately many companies copied the idea of making a tablet and smart phone. Jobs was one of the most successful innovators of all time because of his eccentric personality and sense of individuality. Few people were as imaginative and inspiring.

Everyone thinks that all original businessmen are one dimensional, but Will.i.am or William Adams  is one of the few singers who can do more. Adams is one of the most futuristic and imaginative person who has novel ideas. Adam works for Intel as well as leads the Black Eyed Peas. He has helped  design an item that can easily snap to an iPhone to take better pictures; it is called i.am.foto.shoso. He also helped design Ekocycle for Coca-cola. Will.i.am is one of the few artists who can have original music and surreal ideas.

Originality is the key to success when all that exists is similar. New ideas intrigue people more than imitations. Steve Jobs and Will.i.am were creative, imaginative, original, and successful. They are brilliant people that one must emulate by being original. Being unique not only makes one stand out, but it makes a person feel consequential in the world.

Perseverance

Perseverance is like a bird,
That was just born into this world,
Its innocence turns into curiosity,
As it tries to flap its wings and fly.
It dives in despair,
While its heart floats with determination.
Its courage is stronger than the wind,
That throws the bird to the ground.
All the effort and pain endured,
Lead to a lesson learned,
And now that bird flies high in the sky.

Trusting intuition often saves us from disaster

Intuition is the instinct that supports us and predicts the oncoming perils and laurels. Our intuition is an often reliable resource, saving us from treacherous fiascos, and demonstrating the power of the sixth-sense. Our choices are based on our inner feelings and suspicions. Missing a plane that ended up crashing is not just by luck. We can sense when things will go wrong or right by our gut feelings. Though it is impossible to be infallible, we all have instincts that we need to trust. Even for the smallest events, we need to trust our intuition. This is knowing when something is right or wrong before it happens. Such can play an important role in our lives, especially when undergoing challenges.

Intuition saves people from hardships, including me. After Christmas break everyone was expecting the teachers to let us review everything and catch up, but I had a sickening feeling that it might not go as planned. My inner voice begged me continually to take all my books home. I prepared for the upcoming tests regardless of expectations. Unhappily, Christmas break ended; on the first day we were loaded with quizzes and tests. Thanks to my intuition, I had no reason to panic. Following through based on gut feelings can make a big impact later on. As a result, tasks and challenges can be handled well.

Even the slightest hint of an appalling event can save a person's life if appropriate actions are taken. A true story to prove my point is about a young lady who saves the life of a child playing on the street. The young lady sat on the porch, staring at children who were playing soccer on the lawn. She watched them play happily, yet something was bothering her. She had this feeling that there was some trouble ahead. Suddenly the lady got up and tackled the boy running after the soccer ball which rolled into the road. As the lady and the boy lay on the edge of the sidewalk, a truck sped by, flattening the ball. The lady saved the child and used her intuition to help save a life. Trusting our instincts can effect what happens in the future.

Intuition, the sixth-sense, or the inner voices are what assist us in doing what is right. It can help for things like test preparation or even saving a life. Choices are based on our hunches. Intuition causes us to sense when things will go wrong and it will make significant impacts if acted on. Through the sixth-sense may not be present at all times, we all have instincts that we need to trust. Acting on our intuition can prevent destruction and problems in our life.

Crash

Fresh teal waves crash,
swallowing intricate sandcastles,
leaving a delicate sheet of sand.
The sun floats on the sea, beckoning surfers,
who climb on top of the raging monster.
Its fierce grip envelops pails and shovels as captives,
in its deep blue chambers,
People laugh, eat, and tan,
on their rainbow towels,
living the moment,
not knowing the the perils of the sea.
Its beauty overwhelms the thoughts,
making them forget its selfishness.
Blue waves splash onto the sand,
playing a game of tag.
As children play and adults chat,
it spreads its warmth, and fresh smell of salt..waves brighten the evening,
The sky drowns into darkness, while people pack their umbrellas,
and say goodbye,
to the perilous, innocent, perfect sea.

A Painter's Choice...

To choose the colors,
And change them from green to red to yellow.
Splattering, and spraying colors on the trees.
Changing the sky and the scene,
In a swirl of colors from green to red to yellow.
Each season has its colors,
And now that summer is gone,
No more burning bright summer days,
And it's colors.
The fiery colors of autumn FALL to the ground,
Softly blending together,
Of green to red to yellow.
The painter mixes his paint,
Swirling the colors and lifting them off the ground,
Making them float and drift casually,
Through the air and sink into a new place.
