Crash

Fresh teal waves crash,
swallowing intricate sandcastles,
leaving a delicate sheet of sand.
The sun floats on the sea, beckoning surfers,
who climb on top of the raging monster.
Its fierce grip envelops pails and shovels as captives,
in its deep blue chambers,
People laugh, eat, and tan,
on their rainbow towels,
living the moment,
not knowing the the perils of the sea.
Its beauty overwhelms the thoughts,
making them forget its selfishness.
Blue waves splash onto the sand,
playing a game of tag.
As children play and adults chat,
it spreads its warmth, and fresh smell of salt..waves brighten the evening,
The sky drowns into darkness, while people pack their umbrellas,
and say goodbye,
to the perilous, innocent, perfect sea.
